The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Volker's jab looks to have found its range, popping Singh under the eye.
Volker scores with a jab to the body.
Volker lands a jab to the head.
Singh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Volker throws a shot to the body.
Singh drops his hands momentarily and Volker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Volker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Volker sends Singh crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Volker is motioning to the referee to let Singh up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Singh is rocked!
Volker changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Singh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Singh is breathing heavily.
Volker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Singh seems to have got his legs back now.
Volker gets a clinch.
Volker lands a body punch.
Volker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Volker shoots in for a takedown but Singh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Volker cracks Singh with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Volker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Singh at a distance.
Ludvig Volker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Singh fails with an attempt to clinch.
Volker cracks Singh with a good jab.
OH! Singh has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Volker smells blood and charges in for the finish! Volker unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Singh sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ludvig Volker!
