Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Sin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, DJ Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaw on the ground.

Shaw creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.


It looks like Lee Sin has been cut.
Sin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Shaw controls the position from side control.
It looks like Shaw might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sin pushes Shaw away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shaw gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Shaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sin tries to improve position but can't.

Sin tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Sin is trying desperately to improve position.

Shaw keeps control of the position easily here as Sin tries to buck him off.

Sin is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shaw gets his way!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sin is trying to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shaw slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
I really don't envy Sin right now.
Sin is trying to stand back up.
Shaw lands punches and elbows.

Shaw has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Sin! Can he survive? No! He's out! Shaw gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). DJ Shaw!
DJ Shaw tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
