Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cory Deegan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J J Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deegan comes to the cage accompanied by Land of Confusion. Cory Deegan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to J J Tucker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cory Deegan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, J J Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tucker checks a leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tucker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tucker.
Deegan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tucker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tucker lands a body shot.
Tucker connects with a high kick.
Deegan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tucker cracks a nice hook into Deegan's ribs.
Deegan moves out of range as Tucker throws a body kick.
Deegan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Deegan motions for Tucker to come forward. Deegan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tucker cracks Deegan with an open hand slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deegan throws an overhand right that lands on Tucker's shoulder, as Tucker tries to avoid the shot.
Tucker throws a head kick but Deegan moves out of range.
Tucker scores with a kick to the midsection.
Deegan blocks a head kick by Tucker.
Tucker scores with a body shot.
Tucker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Deegan explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Deegan lands a big head kick that sends Tucker tumbling to the mat! Deegan takes a step backwards and waves Tucker back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like J J Tucker has been cut.
Deegan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tucker dodges the punch combination from Deegan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Deegan throws out a loose jab but Tucker uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tucker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Deegan. That did some damage!
Tucker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Deegans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tucker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Deegan throws out the jab.
Tucker is trying to counter with his kicks.
Tucker throws a wild body kick that Deegan sees coming a mile off.
Deegan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tucker lands a slapping body shot.
Tucker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Deegan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tucker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Deegan tries to clinch there but Tucker circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Deegan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tucker - the referee stops the clock and Deegan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tucker. Deegan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Deegan throws a leg kick that misses.
Deegan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tucker. That one must have hurt.
Tucker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Deegan.
Tucker throws a body shot but no joy.
Tucker throws a head kick that half lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deegan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Tucker looks winded!
Deegan drops Tucker with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tucker looks back up at him and smiles so Deegan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tucker is rocked!
Tucker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Deegan rather than just go for the knockout.
Deegan and Tucker are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Deegan throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Tucker into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Deegan knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Cory Deegan!

An out of breath Cory Deegan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
