Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudolph Rutledge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Olley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Olley's choice of entrance music: Fight Song by Marilyn Manson. Tim Olley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Olley! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rutledge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Olley is one step ahead there. Rutledge looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rutledge is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Olley scoring with some ground and pound. Olley looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Olley postures up and lands a big shot to Rutledge's brow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Olley sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olley advances position into side control! Olley takes a little break here. Rutledge wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Olley in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rutledge seems a little lost for a moment, as Olley dominates the positioning. Olley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rutledge tries to buck Olley off but Olley is having none of it. Olley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rutledge is looking to reverse the position. Rutledge takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Rutledge trying to remain calm as Olley controls from the top position. Rutledge striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Olley is working Rutledge over with some ground and pound from side control. Olley controlling the position from side mount. Olley landing strikes. Olley slows the pace down. Olley is trying to get an arm triangle but Rutledge is defending well. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rutledge tries to improve position but can't. A lull in the action here as Olley stalls from top position. Rutledge is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Olley scores with punches from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Olley slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Olley prevents Rutledge from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Olley dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rutledge tries to clinch but Olley moves away and Olley counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rutledge! A lull in the action here. Rutledge is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Olley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Olley. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Olley is nestled in close to Rutledge, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Olley seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Olley jumps into side control! Olley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Olley scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rutledge to see if he's OK. Rutledge tries to improve position but can't. Olley controlling the position. Rutledge is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Olley is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Olley lands a heavy elbow. Olley controlling the pace for now. Tim Olley has got the better of the ground game so far. Rutledge is in a horrible position here. Olley smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutledge is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Olley scoring with strikes but Rutledge is staying in there. Olley connects with a bit shot that sees Rutledge covering up! More strikes from Olley and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Olley is our winner by TKO!
