Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Kocur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Kristofer Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kocur kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is This Fire Burns - Killswitch Engage. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Kocur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antoni Kristofer Hong! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hong throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kocur throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hong avoids it. Kocur looks to throw the jab but Hong is out of range. Kocur thows a body kick. Hong tries to catch it but that hurt him. Kocur scores with a nice strike. Hong connects with a solid leg kick. Kocur is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hong. Kocur with a hook. Nice defenses there by Hong. Hong dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kocur. That did some damage! Hong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kocur moves away. Kocur displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hong throws out the jab. Kocur thows a left - swing and a miss! Kocur blocks a low kick nicely. Hong has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hong throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Hong misses the shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kocur with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kocur connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kocur goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Hong. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hong. Kocur shrugs it off though. Kocur checks a low kick from Hong. Kocur works the jab nicely. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kocur. Kocur on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hong. Hong obviously looking to wear him down.
Kocur misses with a hook. Hong ducked under it nicely. Hong lands with a slapping head kick. Hong tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kocur defends well and Hong ends up having to push Kocur into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kocur blocks a leg kick. Hong moves out of range as Kocur throws a body kick.
Hong attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kocur has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kocur throws a body punch but Hong moves out of range. And Hong tries to counter it with a takedown but Kocur pushes his down on his head and steps out. Hong connects with a solid leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hong takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A shot to the body from Kocur misses and Hong counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Kocur wants to clinch up but Hong keeps it at a distance. Kocur connects with a jab.
It looks like Antoni Kristofer Hong has been cut. Kocur thows a left - swing and a miss! Hong scores with a kick to the midsection. Kocur throws a looping overhand right but Hong ducks down to avoid it. A right-left combo lands from Kocur. Hong looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kocur working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hong. Hong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hong throws a big elbow that misses. Hong trying to control but Kocur is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kocur lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kocur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hong keeping moving, preventing Kocur from controlling successfully. Kocur tries to free his leg and advance position but Hong is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kocur trying to control the position from guard on top but Hong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kocur wants to pass the guard but Hong is keeping the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kocur's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hong gets off balance looking for a body kick letting Kocur counter with a right hand. A slapping leg kick lands for Hong.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joey Kocur will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Antoni Kristofer Hong's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kocur throws a leg kick that misses. Kocur throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hong lands with a hook. Kocur tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hong fails with a takedown attempt. Hong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hong throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kocur is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. An inside leg kick from Kocur misses. Kocur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hong moves out of range as Kocur strikes. Kocur moves forwards but Hong connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kocur misses with an uppercut
and Hong counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kocur gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kocur lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong throws a series of punches but Kocur moves out of range. Kocur tries to counter by clinching up but Hong breaks away and moves out of range. Hong misses with a leg kick and Hong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kocur punishes Hong's body with a nice straight punch. Hong throws a hook but Kocur avoids it easily. Hong wants to slow Kocur down by chopping away at his legs. Hong swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kocur misses with a left hand and Hong counters with a slapping leg kick. Jab from Hong. Kocur connects with a leg kick. Hong looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Hong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kocur.

Hong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hong walks into a left hand. Kocur throws out a loose jab but Hong uses good head movement to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kocur moves forwards but Hong connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kocur.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hong moves away from the strike by Kocur. Kocur lands a nice shot to the body.
Kocur throws a body shot but no joy. Joey Kocur is winning the standup battle so far. Hong takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kocur takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kocur lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. An inside leg kick lands from Hong. Hong connects with a leg kick. Kocur looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A clash of legs there as Hong blocks the low kick. Kocur misses with a wild body shot. Kocur lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kocur staying out of range there. Some bone on bone action there as Kocur checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Kocur takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kocur walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hong checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hong with the counter takedown but Kocur avoids it easily. Joey Kocur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hong lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kocur at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kocur throws a body shot but no joy. Hong tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hong misses the body punch enabling Kocur to counter with a crisp jab. Hong throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kocur. Hong lands with a nice body kick. Hong misses the jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Hong. Kocur does a little dance to reset his feet. Kocur throws a big shot that misses. Hong cracks the inside of Kocur's front leg. Hong throws a half hearted mid kick. Hong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hong connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hong scores with a nice body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong tries to work over Kocur's front leg with a kick but Kocur checks it. Hong is looking to land body kicks. Kocur half committed to a counter leg kick. Kocur connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kocur. A good leg kick by Hong. Hong lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A nice combination there by Kocur.
Hong lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kocur motions for Hong to come forward. Kocur throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kocur. Kocur has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hong. Kocur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kocur throws a leg kick that is checked and Hong counters with a thumping low kick. Hong lands with a thumping leg kick.

Kocur appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Hong looks to throw the jab but Kocur is out of range. Kocur is looking to counter with a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antoni Kristofer Hong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Antoni Kristofer Hong's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kocur manages to avoid it. Kocur buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hong is looking to chop away at Kocur's legs. Kocur half committed to a counter leg kick. Hong checks a low kick from Kocur. A nice inside leg kick there by Hong. That's going to slow Kocur down. Kocur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kocur swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hong. Hong clobbers Kocur with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Hong misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Kocur. Nice defenses there by Hong. Kocur throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kocur misses with a leg kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kocur looks to score with a jab to the body but Hong is just out of range. Kocur has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kocur there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Hong with a nice cross. Jab, jab by Kocur - just one landing. Kocur wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kocur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kocur throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hong. Kocur misses with a straight right. Hong tests Kocur's chin there with a solid looking shot. That kick from Hong tenderised Kocur's leg. Kocur is trying to keep his angry face on. Good exchange - Kocur coming out on top. Kocur scores with a sloppy right hand. Hong should have avoided that one. Hong throws a low kick but Kocur moves out of range easily. Kocur closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hong shoots in looking for a takedown. Kocur tries to sprawl out of it but Hong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kocur manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kocur gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kocur is trying to keep Hong in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kocur utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kocur keeping moving, preventing Hong from controlling successfully. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kocur scores with a leg kick.
Kocur closes the distance but Hong moves to the side and Hong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hong. Hong lands a couple of digs. Kocur is trying to keep Hong in close.
Hong trying to control the position from guard on top but Kocur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong controlling from the top position. Hong throws a strike but Kocur rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kocur's guard. Hong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kocur works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kocur pulls Hong in to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Antoni Kristofer Hong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
