Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Artie DeVanzo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVanzo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Berserk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. DeVanzo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Berserk wants to land a leg kick but DeVanzo is out of range.
Berserk throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
DeVanzo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Berserk.
No luck for DeVanzo with that takedown attempt.
Berserk looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Berserk connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed DeVanzo momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Berserk stalling in the clinch but DeVanzo improves position.

Berserk can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

DeVanzo lands a body punch.
DeVanzo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Berserk is trying to keep an underhook but DeVanzo manages to get the takedown into half guard.

DeVanzo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Still in half guard, DeVanzo seems content to control.
Berserk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
DeVanzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berserk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Berserk wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and DeVanzo is now in half guard.
DeVanzo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
DeVanzo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Berserk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Berserk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Berserk.
DeVanzo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Berserk wants to sweep here but DeVanzo controlling him for the moment.
DeVanzo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
DeVanzo tries to free his leg and advance position but Berserk is retaining full guard.
Berserk has control of DeVanzo's left arm, preventing DeVanzo from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Urho Berserk will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Berserk moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Berserk throws a hook but DeVanzo avoids it easily.
Berserk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but DeVanzo moves away.
Berserk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And DeVanzo tries to counter it with a takedown but Berserk pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Berserk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Berserk slips a straight right by DeVanzo.
DeVanzo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, DeVanzo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Berserk is pressed up against the cage. DeVanzo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Berserk down to the mat. Berserk avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

DeVanzo wants to free his trapped foot but Berserk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berserk tries to regain full guard. Instead though, DeVanzo has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
DeVanzo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Berserk is looking to escape.

DeVanzo unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Berserk wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! DeVanzo celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

A very excited looking Artie DeVanzo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
