Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anakoni Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Firestarter. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Kai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Severn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kai throws a solid leg kick but Severn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kai.
Kai lands a nice shot that snaps Severn's head back.
Kai takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Severn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Severn throws a sloppy head kick and Kai moves out of range easily.
Kai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Severn doesn't seem bothered though.

We've been informed that Kai has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Severn counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Severn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kai to the ground. Severn is now in Kai's guard.
Severn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Severn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Severn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kai's guard.
Kai has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Severn's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Anakoni Kai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
