Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Luigi Bates has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Luigi Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow jabs at Bates's body.
Snow with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bates to score with a decent uppercut.
Snow looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bates throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snow goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Snow looks to land a right hand but Bates moved out of range.
Bates takes a swing at Snow's ribcage but misses.
Snow clobbers Bates with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Snow finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Snow falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Bates to counter with a crisp jab.
Bates cracks Snow with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Snow's coach down at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Snow's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bates uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Snow.
Bates connects with a crisp jab.
Snow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snow misses with a double jab.
Snow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Bates dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Snow misses with a looping left.
Snow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

and Bates counters with a takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Snow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bates is looking to take a break and control but Snow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Snow tries to buck Bates off but Bates is having none of it.

Bates tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bates has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Snow is looking to reverse the position.

Bates is trying to get an arm triangle but Snow is defending well.

Bates is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Snow on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Bates fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Snow, pushing him back against the cage.

Bates is trying to drag Snow to the mat but Snow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Snow swings wildly with an uppercut but Bates uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bates pushes Snow back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Bates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Snow throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Bates counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Snow defending well as Bates loads up on a big left hand.

Bates lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Snow or not.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Snow.
Bates avoiding damage as Snow throws knees to the body.
Snow misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bates is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Snow can do to turn this around?
Snow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bates is defending well for now.

Bates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow takes a swing at Bates's ribcage but misses.
Bates was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bates connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Snow's hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bates connects with a body shot that sends Snow's belly button to the back.
Snow missing with a left hand there. Bates was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A looping hook to the body misses from Snow. Bates does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bates just misses with a punch to the body.
Snow gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bates counters with a left to the body.
Snow tries to land a front kick but Bates steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bates lands a jab to Snow's midsection.
A left lands for Bates.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bates is defended easily by Snow.
Snow lands a jab to the head.
Snow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bates.
Snow unleashes a big counter combination but Bates bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Bates closes the distance and clinches up with Snow, looking for a takedown. Bates pushes Snow against the cage but Snow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Snow wants to land a leg kick but Bates is out of range.
Bates shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snow pinned against the cage. Snow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luigi Bates. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Snow finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bates jabs Snow right on the nose. Snow blinks but takes it well.
Bates takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Snow throws a wild body kick that Bates sees coming a mile off.
Bates lands a nice hook to Snow's body. Snow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Snow ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Snow dodges the punch combination from Bates.
Bates fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Snow avoids it really well and circles away.
Bates misses the shot to the body.
Bates swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bates slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jon Snow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Snow tries to bum rush Bates with a series of wild strikes but Bates uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Luigi Bates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bates slips a straight right by Snow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luigi Bates will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bates's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bates shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Snow as he avoids it easily.

Snow throws a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bates. Snow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bates moves out of range as Snow throws a body kick.
Bates connects with a single shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bates checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Snow has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Snow there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bates bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


Snow is rocked!
Bates steps in with a hook that catches Snow right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bates follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Snow looks absolutely devastated.
