Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Master Wong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Master Wong!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong moves forwards but Cage connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cage pinned against the cage. Cage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wong closes the distance and clinches up with Cage, looking for a takedown. Wong pushes Cage against the cage but Cage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wong not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Wong missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Cage regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wong.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cage defends it easily.

And Wong tries to counter it with a takedown but Cage pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cage throws a shot from downtown. Wong moves away and avoids it.
Cage moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cage throws a big counter combination but Wong scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Cage scores with a leg kick.
Cage sizes up Wong with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wong takes the fight into the clinch.

Wong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cage can't fight it off and eventually Wong manages to take the fight to the floor. Cage looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Cage will probably get the nod.

Cage's corner calls for a 1-2. Cage obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cage displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wong.
Cage stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've been told by Cage's head coaches at School Of Hard Knocks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cage looks to land a left hand but Wong moved out of range nicely.
Wong tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wong somewhat.

Cage lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cage fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wong on the side of the head.
Wong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cage as he avoids it easily.
Cage dips to his left and cracks Wong with an uppercut!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cage jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Cage lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Master Wong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cage is fending him off so far but Wong persists. Nope, Cage circles away and we're back to standing.
Wong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wong darts in looking for a takedown but Cage gets double underhooks and turns Wong into the cage.
Wong takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cage keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wong.
Cage connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wong's hands.

Cage cracks Wong with a hook to the temple - Wong is on wobbly legs here! Cage swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Wong falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Cage wins by TKO!
