Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Saif Rasheed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arjen Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem has chosen Switchblade Smiles as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Saif Rasheed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arjen Overeem! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overeem stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A jab from Overeem finds it's way through Rasheed's defenses. Rasheed moves out of range as Overeem throws a body kick.
Rasheed fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Overeem dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rasheed. That did some damage! Overeem swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rasheed counters with a nice double leg into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rasheed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've been hearing good reports from Rasheed's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Rasheed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rasheed not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rasheed lands strikes from half guard. Rasheed slips a nice elbow through Overeem's hands, connecting with Overeem's forehead. Rasheed prevents Overeem from standing back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rasheed fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Overeem tries a quick counter leg kick but Rasheed is wise to it. A kick lands to the mid section there for Overeem. Overeem connects with a single shot there. Rasheed on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Rasheed shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saif Rasheed. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rasheed takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rasheed on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Overeem keeps Rasheed at a distance using the push kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Overeem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arjen Overeem dominated that round. That's time! Rasheed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Overeem throws a nice outside leg kick. Overeem scoring well with a low kick there.
Rasheed takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Overeem bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rasheed's head backwards. Nice body kick from Overeem. Rasheed uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Overeem. Rasheed half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Rasheed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Overeem cracks Rasheed with a good jab. Overeem clobbers Rasheed with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rasheed fails to land the takedown. Overeem bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rasheed takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rasheed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Overeem throws a low kick but Rasheed avoids it. Overeem slaps away a takedown attempt from Rasheed, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saif Rasheed. That's going to take a lot out of him. Overeem lands with a nice body kick. Overeem scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Oh Rasheed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rasheed chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Overeem can pounce on him.
Rasheed seems to have got his legs back now. Overeem is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Overeem rushes Rasheed and presses him up against the ropes. Overeem is pushing Rasheed up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Nice body punch from Overeem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeem stops a takedown attempt from Rasheed.
The referee is keeping an eye on Overeem - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Rasheed will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Overeem stalling.
Rasheed is looking to take this one to the mat. Overeem crunches a lovely knee into Rasheed's ribcage. Rasheed being controlled against the ropes. A short uppercut from Overeem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Overeem lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Rasheed tries for a takedown but Overeem manages to get underhooks.
Overeem's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Overeem has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Overeem stalling.
Rasheed has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Overeem avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rasheed avoiding damage as Overeem throws knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasheed is working for takedown but Overeem is calmly controlling the position for now. Rasheed drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Overeem has Rasheed pushed against the ropes. Overeem lands a hook to the side of the head. Rasheed is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Overeem gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Overeem tries to land a knee to the head but Rasheed blocks with his arms.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rasheed crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Overeem - the referee stops the clock and Rasheed gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Overeem. Rasheed manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arjen Overeem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Saif Rasheed's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Rasheed drops down looking for a counter takedown but Overeem sprawls and moves away. Nice body kick there by Overeem. Overeem jabs Rasheed to the body, keeping him at a distance. Rasheed tries to score a power double leg takedown but Overeem sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rasheed somewhat. Overeem throws a body punch but Rasheed moves out of range. Rasheed changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Overeem has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasheed misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Overeem steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Overeem connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Rasheed lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Rasheed working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Overeem is looking for a sweep. Rasheed landing strikes. Overeem is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rasheed connects with a decent elbow. Rasheed wants to control but Overeem is keeping him busy. Overeem can't do much from the bottom here. Rasheed working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Saif Rasheed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Arjen Overeem is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Saif Rasheed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rasheed tries to score with some ground and pound. Overeem controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rasheed thows a huge punch but Overeem dodges it nicely.

Rasheed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Overeem is looking to improve his position.
Rasheed lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Overeem has hold of Rasheed's hands but Rasheed slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Saif Rasheed showed his dominance in that final round. I think Overeem has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
