The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smaug wants to slow Parantainen down by chopping away at his legs.
Smaug takes one on the button.
It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut.
Smaug misses with a straight right.

Cinder Smaug seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parantainen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smaug.

Smaug throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Parantainen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parantainen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Smaug is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Parantainen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Jeez, Cinder Smaug's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cinder Smaug's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
