Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hoyt Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Galvaro!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galvaro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Orr, pushing him back against the cage.

Orr breaks the clinch.

Galvaro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Orr is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Galvaro pushes down on Orr's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Galvaro with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Orr could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Galvaro gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galvaro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Orr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galvaro on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Galvaro not doing much here.
Galvaro tries to stand but can't do so whilst Orr controls his leg.
Galvaro prevents Orr from standing back up.
Galvaro is looking to take a break and control but Orr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Galvaro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Orr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Orr has hold of Galvaro's hands but Galvaro slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Galvaro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Galvaro thows a huge punch but Orr dodges it nicely.
Galvaro is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Galvaro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Orr has managed to free his arm - good work.

Galvaro is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Orr is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
