Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Swagger!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GONG tries to land a front kick but Swagger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
No joy there for Swagger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
GONG fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Swagger gets a takedown into half guard.
GONG is trying to get back to full guard.
GONG is trying to control but can't.
Swagger seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
GONG is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Swagger slips a nice elbow through GONG's hands, connecting with GONG's forehead.

GONG moves into full guard.
GONG controls Swagger momentarily but Swagger frees himself.
Swagger is stalling in the full guard.

Swagger decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on GONG, up you get!
Swagger tries to land a body kick
and GONG counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Swagger is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Swagger throws a sloppy head kick and GONG moves out of range easily.
GONG wants to clinch up but Swagger keeps it at a distance.

Swagger is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, GONG has managed to free his arm - good work.

Let's hope that Swagger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Swagger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. GONG sprawls well initially but Swagger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

GONG has hold of Swagger's hands but Swagger slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Swagger frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Swagger lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Swagger controlling the pace for now.
Swagger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

GONG is in all sorts of trouble here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bob Swagger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Swagger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
GONG has momentary wrist control but Swagger slips an elbow through the middle.
Swagger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GONG. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
GONG can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swagger controls the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Swagger postures up.
Swagger scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Swagger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Swagger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
GONG fails with the takedown

and Swagger counters by moving into the clinch.

Swagger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed GONG clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Swagger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Swagger counters with a nice double leg into side control. GONG won't be happy with that.

GONG moves out of range of the body kick.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swagger content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Swagger advances to mount.
Swagger looking to control and managing it successfully.
GONG takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Swagger controlling the pace for now.
GONG tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
GONG tries to lock up and control but Swagger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Swagger lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bob Swagger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Swagger looking to finish GONG with some ground and pound. This is bad for GONG!
GONG tries to hold on but Swagger postures up.

Swagger manages to capitalize on a mistake by GONG to take his back!
GONG trying to control the hands but Swagger won't let him.
Swagger has good solid back control here.

Swagger is working for a rear naked choke. GONG is not defending it well and Swagger has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! GONG refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of GONG's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bob Swagger!
