Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Jinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Carrer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Billy Jinx has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Jinx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Carrer!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinx connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jinx shoots in looking for a takedown but Carrer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jinx's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jinx fails to land the takedown.

Carrer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jinx quickly recovers to half guard.
Jinx tries to roll over but Carrer keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carrer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jinx is just riding it out for now. Carrer eventually gives up the hold.

Jinx keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jinx knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carrer on the ground.
Jinx wants to control but Carrer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Carrer is looking for a kimura but Jinx is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Carrer to get the leverage.

Carrer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jinx has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carrer wants to work for an arm triangle but Jinx is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Carrer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jinx with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Carrer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jinx is just riding it out for now. Carrer eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jinx is looking to improve his position.

Carrer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jinx defends it well.
Carrer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's time! Jinx's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jinx throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carrer.

Carrer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jinx looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jinx wants to improve his position but instead Carrer has moved into half guard.
Jinx wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carrer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Jinx is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carrer dives into side control.

Jinx gets back to half guard.
Carrer working the head and body with strikes.

Carrer is trying to work for a kimura but Jinx is defending well.

Jinx is trying to control but can't.
Jinx is positioning himself well to prevent Carrer advancing to mount.

Alex Carrer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Jinx throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Carrer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Carrer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jinx is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Carrer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carrer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carrer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jinx, who protects the arm well.
Jinx is looking to regain half guard here but Carrer keeps moving and retains side control.

Carrer has an Americana. Jinx didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Carrer is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Carrer hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alex Carrer!
Alex Carrer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
