Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Tangi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tomasz Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Greg Tangi! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tangi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kowalski shoots for a double leg takedown but Tangi sprawls well. He's pushed Kowalski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kowalski shoots in looking for a takedown. Tangi tries to sprawl out of it but Kowalski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tangi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kowalski tries to clinch up. Kowalski throws a series of punches but Tangi avoids them all with ease. Tangi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Tangi tries to sprawl but Kowalski drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski escapes and gets back to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tangi. Kowalski explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Tangi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tangi lands in his opponent's guard. Kowalski keeping moving, preventing Tangi from controlling successfully. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tangi gets the takedown into side control. Kowalski sneaks out the side door and pushes Tangi away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Kowalski has his takedown stuffed and Tangi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Kowalski. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kowalski is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tangi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kowalski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tangi regains guard.
Tangi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kowalski presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Kowalski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tangi on his heels. He'll look to pass Tangi's guard now, I'm sure. Tangi is breathing heavily. Kowalski trying to control but Tangi is working from the bottom. Tangi is pulling down on Kowalski's head. It's preventing any offense from Kowalski, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kowalski stands and steps away. Tangi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kowalski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tangi pinned against the cage. Tangi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kowalski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tangi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kowalski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kowalski wants to control from the top but Tangi keeps moving. Tangi has a closed guard, preventing Kowalski from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tangi trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Greg Tangi will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Kowalski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kowalski keeps the fight on the outside. Tangi moves out of range of the leg kick from Kowalski. Kowalski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kowalski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tangi's waist but Tangi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kowalski off to one side. Tangi scores with a takedown into Kowalski's guard. Kowalski has his foot on Tangi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tangi works his way back into a safe position though. Tangi postures up.

"Ole!" shouts Tangi as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kowalski clinches up with Tangi and pushes him back against the cage. Kowalski avoiding damage as Tangi throws knees to the body.
Kowalski jumps guard and drags Tangi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kowalski is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Tangi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalski is working an open guard so Tangi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Tangi rushes Kowalski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tangi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kowalski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tangi pulls guard effortlessly. Kowalski wants to control from the top but Tangi keeps moving. Kowalski wants to pass the guard but Tangi is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tangi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kowalski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tangi's guard. Tangi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kowalski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kowalski with a lazy takedown attempt and Tangi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kowalski darts in looking for a takedown but Tangi gets double underhooks and turns Kowalski into the cage. Kowalski clinches with his opponent.

Tangi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kowalski walks away with a smile on his face. Tangi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kowalski tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tangi moves into the clinch. Kowalski tries to pull guard but Tangi holds him up against the cage and eventually Kowalski drops back down to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Greg Tangi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tangi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
