Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
David ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fenix moves away.
Nice defenses there by David.
Xavier David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fenix looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fenix tries to move into range but David moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fenix lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! David goes down and covers up as Fenix starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Fenix!
After the fight, Marcus Fenix was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
