Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cuneyt Arkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gene Anderson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cuneyt Arkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gene Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Arkin preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Arkin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson trying to control the action but Arkin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Arkin controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Arkin is pressing down on Anderson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arkin is on top in guard.
Arkin trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Arkin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Arkin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet.
Anderson has his foot on Arkin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arkin works his way back into a safe position though.
Anderson is pulling down on Arkin's head to control his posture.
Arkin with a flurry of punches that miss.
Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet.
Arkin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Anderson is trying to hold Arkin in close to prevent damage but Arkin has managed to pass into half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Arkin shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Arkin tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arkin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Arkin tries to counter with a takedown but Anderson is quick to defend against it.
Anderson shoots for a takedown but Arkin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cuneyt Arkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene Anderson.
Arkin shoots in and bounces Anderson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Arkin lands a couple of elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Arkin stands up over Anderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Anderson is trying to control the position but Arkin postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Arkin advances position into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anderson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Anderson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Arkin presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cuneyt Arkin dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Arkin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anderson is fending him off so far but Arkin persists. Nope, Anderson circles away and we're back to standing.
Anderson lands a big head kick that sends Arkin tumbling to the mat! Anderson takes a step backwards and waves Arkin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Arkin is rocked!
It looks like Cuneyt Arkin has been cut.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Arkin is out cold and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Gene Anderson!
