Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hank Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Eggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man by Black Sabbath. Hank Armstrong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hank Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Eggman!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eggman fails to land the takedown.
Armstrong darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Eggman moves into the clinch.
Armstrong can't find room to land a body shot as Eggman controls the action.
Eggman misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Eggman is looking to break free of the clinch but Armstrong has double underhooks.
Eggman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eggman is trying to break the clinch but Armstrong has him pressed against the cage.

Eggman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Armstrong uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eggman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Armstrong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Armstrong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Eggman on the ground.
Eggman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Eggman in particular looking to stall.

Armstrong is looking for a sweep. Eggman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Armstrong is looking to control Eggman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Armstrong avoid being mounted?

Eggman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Eggman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Armstrong connects with a nice looking jab.
Armstrong lands a really nice looking cross but Eggman seems unphased.
Eggman takes one to the chin there.


Eggman is rocked!

Eggman misses with the combination.
Eggman is still on wobbly legs! Can Armstrong finish him?
Armstrong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Armstrong there as he acknowledges the shot.
Eggman seems to have recovered his senses.
Eggman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Armstrong avoids it really well and circles away.
Armstrong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eggman.
Hank Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Eggman.
Armstrong lands a right hook to the body.
Armstrong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Armstrong wants it to stay on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Armstrong fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Eggman is looking to clinch but Armstrong is avoiding it.

Eggman tries to move into range but Armstrong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Armstrong connects with a right hand. Eggman shakes it off.
Eggman slips under a jab from Armstrong.
Eggman bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Armstrong comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Eggman falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Eggman was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hank Armstrong!
Our winner, Hank Armstrong, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
