The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toney walks into a left hand.
Toney throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lapis was covering up waiting for the punch and Toney finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lapis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Toney defends well.

Toney drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lapis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lapis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lapis!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Toney is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lapis sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Angel Toney will probably get the nod.

Toney has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Toney there as he acknowledges the shot.

Lapis cracks Toney with a hook to the temple - Toney is on wobbly legs here! Lapis swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Toney falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Lapis wins by TKO!
