Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kikeona Kulani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Desperado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kikeona Kulani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Desperado! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Desperado stuffs the takedown attempt from Kulani. Kulani gets slowly back to his feet. Kulani lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Anthony Desperado has been cut. Kulani misses the jab. Kulani misses with a body shot.
Desperado's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Desperado duly obliges. Kulani thows a body shot but no joy. Kulani changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Desperado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Desperado is looking to reverse the position. A lull in the action here. Desperado is trying to buck Kulani off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desperado is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kulani wants to control but Desperado is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Desperado wants to get back to his feet. Kulani advances to full mount. Desperado tries to control Kulani's body but Kulani pushes him off. Desperado squirms to his side and now Kulani has his back! Desperado is trying to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kulani biding his time, controlling Desperado. Desperado looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Desperado trying to control the position but Kulani manages to sink in the hooks. Kulani slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Desperado rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That was a close round but I would say that Kikeona Kulani will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Anthony Desperado's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kulani throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kulani looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Desperado drops Kulani with a left right combo! Desperado follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Kikeona Kulani has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kulani sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Desperado is looking to take a break and control but Kulani is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Desperado tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kulani controls his leg. Kulani is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Desperado content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Desperado throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kulani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kulani looks for a takedown but Desperado sprawls well. Kulani throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Desperado decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kulani's guard. Kulani tries to land a sweep but no joy. Desperado trying to control but Kulani is working from the bottom. Desperado content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Desperado wanted to stand there but Kulani had control of the position. Kulani is trying to keep Desperado in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Desperado trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kulani's guard. Desperado wants to stand and escape but instead Kulani has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Desperado wants to sweep here but Kulani controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Desperado showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Desperado counters with a left and a right that stings Kulani. Kikeona Kulani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Desperado throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Kulani counter with a right hand. Desperado misses with a double jab
and Kulani counters with a three punch combo that has Desperado backing up. Desperado nods at Kulani to acknowledge the strikes. Kulani feints and as Desperado raises his hands in defense, Kulani changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Desperado keeping moving, preventing Kulani from controlling successfully. Desperado is trying to keep Kulani in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desperado had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kulani is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Desperado Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kulani's back instead. Desperado takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. You can see the frustration on Kulani's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Kulani is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kulani wants to control his opponent's hands but Desperado gets his hands free. Kulani breaks Desperado's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Desperado is looking to stand up but Kulani isn't so interested in that idea.

and Desperado counters with a stiff right hand. Anthony Desperado seems to be getting the better of the standup. Desperado misses with a few strikes there.
Kulani throws a series of punches but Desperado moves out of range. Desperado misses with a hook to the body
and Kulani counters with a stiff right hand. Desperado slips a straight right by Kulani. Kulani lands with a cross. Kikeona Kulani is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kulani throws a sloppy body shot
and Desperado counters with a series of strikes. Kulani will be more careful next time no doubt. Desperado scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Desperado ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kulani moves away. Kulani throws a combination that misses and Desperado makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice takedown defense from Kulani. No joy for Desperado on that attempt. Kulani dodges the punch combination from Desperado.
Kulani throws a hook to the side of Desperado's head but Desperado sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kulani misses with a combination
and Desperado counters with a three punch combo that has Kulani backing up. Kulani nods at Desperado to acknowledge the strikes. Desperado digs a good body shot into Kulani's ribs. Desperado lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Desperado looks to land a combination. Kulani sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kulani dodges the punch combination from Desperado.

And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Desperado comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Desperado has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
