Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Moxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamms Beer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beer has chosen Hostile Mass as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jonathan Moxon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hamms Beer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Beer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moxon's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Beer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moxon is fending him off so far but Beer persists. Nope, Moxon circles away and we're back to standing.

Beer is trying to trip Moxon. He has hold of a leg but Moxon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Beer persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Moxon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Beer is working Moxon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Moxon can't keep his opponent in guard - Beer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Beer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moxon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Moxon is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Beer pulls his head out easily.

Beer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moxon looks a forlorn figure.

BOOM! Beer connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Moxon is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Moxon can't escape the position.
Beer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Beer prevents Moxon from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamms Beer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Beer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Moxon counters with a single leg into guard. Beer didn't expect that.

Beer wants to stand up but Moxon is controlling him.
Moxon wants to pass the guard but Beer is keeping the position.
Beer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moxon is controlling him.
Beer throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Beer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moxon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moxon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moxon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Beer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Moxon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Beer!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jonathan Moxon will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Beer shoots and misses

Moxon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Moxon tries for a kimura but Beer is defending well.
Beer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Moxon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Moxon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Beer!

Beer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Moxon has hold of Beer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Beer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Moxon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Beer manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Beer sneaks out the side door and pushes Moxon away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Beer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Moxon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beer's guard.
Jonathan Moxon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamms Beer.
Beer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moxon is controlling him.
Beer tries to strike from the bottom.

Moxon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Beer wriggles free and stands up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonathan Moxon.
I think Moxon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
