Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Ramian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Riccardo Puller! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puller throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Puller moves into the clinch. Puller throws a head punch that misses. Ramian tries to circle away but Puller has him pinned against the cage. Puller jumps guard.
Ramian being controlled here momentarily. Puller has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Soul Supremacy Rio. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Puller wants to sweep here but Ramian controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ramian manages to get himself to full guard.

Puller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ramian keeping full guard, as Puller tries to pass. Puller is looking for a sweep. Ramian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ramian wants to work for an arm triangle but Puller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puller gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Puller throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ramian escapes and throws Puller's legs to the side, diving into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Puller napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Puller throws a sloppy head kick and Ramian moves out of range easily. Ramian tries to clinch but fails miserably so Puller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Puller's corner is telling him to maintain position. Puller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Riccardo Puller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Puller misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ramian's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ramian avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Puller. Ramian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Puller on the ground. Puller tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Ramian parries the strikes from Puller easily there. Puller is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ramian to escape.
