Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Squetsie Doubleday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elija McIntosh!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McIntosh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Doubleday as he avoids it easily.
McIntosh throws a right hand that Doubleday ducks under and follows up with a left that Doubleday also avoids with ease.
McIntosh tries to close the distance and clinch but Doubleday swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doubleday with a poor takedown

and McIntosh counters by moving into the clinch.

Doubleday works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
McIntosh is looking to stand up but Doubleday isn't so interested in that idea.
McIntosh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Doubleday postures up in McIntosh's guard and throws a big left but McIntosh blocks it.
Doubleday working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McIntosh keeping moving, preventing Doubleday from controlling successfully.
Doubleday throws a big right hand that misses.
Doubleday knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McIntosh on the ground.
McIntosh is pulling down on Doubleday's head. It's preventing any offense from Doubleday, at least for the moment.
Doubleday trying to stand up but can't free himself from McIntosh's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McIntosh tries for a takedown but Doubleday circles away easily

and Doubleday counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Doubleday.
McIntosh is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Doubleday throws a big right hand that misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McIntosh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doubleday throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McIntosh.
McIntosh swats away the attempt to clinch by Doubleday.

Doubleday gets the takedown into side control.
McIntosh is trying to control Doubleday's posture but Doubleday avoids it.
McIntosh is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Doubleday has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Doubleday has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Doubleday pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Doubleday moves into range and clinches up with McIntosh.

Doubleday drags the fight down to the ground.

Doubleday had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McIntosh is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Doubleday Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McIntosh's back instead.
McIntosh wants to escape the position.

McIntosh defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Doubleday's arms.
Doubleday gets his hands free as McIntosh looks to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doubleday lands punches and elbows.
McIntosh can't escape the position.
McIntosh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Doubleday will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Doubleday missing with strikes.
McIntosh tries to roll but Doubleday sticks to his back.
Doubleday gets his hands free as McIntosh looks to control.
Doubleday has the hooks in. McIntosh is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
McIntosh is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Doubleday scores with strikes from the back.
McIntosh is trapped and Doubleday is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Doubleday landing with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Squetsie Doubleday dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Doubleday doesn't manage to clinch there - McIntosh circles away.
Doubleday throws a series of punches but McIntosh avoids them all with ease.
A jab-cross combination lands for Doubleday and sends McIntosh crashing to the mat! Doubleday follows him down to the mat - McIntosh regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


McIntosh is rocked!


It looks like Elija McIntosh has been cut.
Doubleday scores with a big shot! McIntosh's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save McIntosh! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Squetsie Doubleday!
