The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Gunten connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Nutz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nutz in particular looking to stall.

Von Gunten wants to stand and escape but instead Nutz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The crowd cheers as Von Gunten lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nutz doesn't seem phased though.
Von Gunten just misses with a punch to the body.
As Von Gunten looks to move away, Nutz throws a big counter combo bu Von Gunten just gets out of the way.

Vika Von Gunten seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nutz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nutz showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Von Gunten is staying active underneath Nutz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nutz is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Nutz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Nutz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Von Gunten's face.
Nutz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Von Gunten has left one of his arms exposed and Nutz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Von Gunten screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
