Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Clancey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Tate could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tom Clancey's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 25 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Clancey! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Clancey swinging wildly here.
Clancey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tate to score an easy takedown into full guard. Clancey uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Clancey jabs Tate to the body, keeping him at a distance. Clancey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tate has time to react. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tate tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clancey swivels and escapes. Clancey throws out a counter right but Tate avoids it with no problem. Tate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Clancey avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Tate. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the liver by Clancey. Beautiful body shot. Clancey misses with a wild body shot. Tate on the wrong end of a nice jab. Tate fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clancey, pushing him back against the cage. Clancey wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tate has him pressed against the cage. Tate goes for a takedown attempt but Clancey pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tom Clancey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tate rushes Clancey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tate wants to take the fight to the mat but Clancey manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Tate has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clancey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tate has Clancey pressed against the cage, preventing Clancey from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tate has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Clancey after a bit of a struggle. That's three minutes gone in the round. Clancey is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Clancey working hard to break the clinch. Tate turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Tate in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Tate tries to score with some ground and pound. Clancey controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Clancey is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Tate scoring with punches from side control. Tate misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The strikes coming from Tate are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Tate tries for a kimura but Clancey is defending well. Tate throwing shots but missing, from side control. Clancey is not content to let Tate control the position. Tate tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tom Clancey will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
The crowd cheers as Clancey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tate doesn't seem phased though. Clancey falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tate counters with a takedown into side control. Clancey gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Tate lands a big elbow.
Clancey is rocked! Oooooh, big shot lands for Tate! Clancey is hurt baaadly! Tate is firing away with more strikes - Clancey is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Tate! Our winner, Bobby Tate, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
