Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Casey Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Parker! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Frost jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Parker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Parker lands the left hand. Frost looks to score with a jab to the body but Parker is just out of range. Frost misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.
Frost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Frost lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Frost swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Parker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! It looks like Parker is going to stand back up.
Frost is looking to control Parker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Frost avoid being mounted? Frost is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost wants to get back to his feet.
Parker thows a huge punch but Frost dodges it nicely.
Parker controlling the pace. Parker throwing shots but Frost is blocking nicely. Frost slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Frost isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Parker stacks Frost on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Parker!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Parker taking a breather here. Frost manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Frost controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Parker missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Parker sitting and controlling from the half guard. Frost is looking to control Parker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Frost avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Parker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Parker's back! Parker tries to escape the position.
Frost patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Frost looking for the choke but no joy. Parker wants to control his opponent's hands but Frost gets his hands free. We've been informed that Parker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Parker has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Frost. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost avoiding Parker 's attempts to control his hands. Frost has managed to slip his arm under Parker's chin. This could be all over... yep, Parker is tapping out! Submission win for Frost.
