The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Presle manages to avoid it.
Martinez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Martinez's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Presle had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Martinez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Presle Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Martinez's back instead.
Martinez turns into Presle and is now in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Martinez wants to clinch up but Presle keeps it at a distance.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Presle counters with a series of strikes. Martinez will be more careful next time no doubt.
Martinez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Martinez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Presle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Martinez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Horrible takedown by Martinez or perhaps it was just good defense by Presle which made him look bad.

Presle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinez's waist but Martinez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Presle off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ludovic Presle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Martinez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Presle to see if he's OK.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ludovic Presle.
