Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kip Aragus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hildebrand Coenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aragus comes to the cage accompanied by Kill of the Night - Gin Wigmore. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aragus darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Aragus tries to pass to full mount but Coenan defends it.
Aragus is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coenan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Aragus works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Aragus tries to pass the half guard into mount. Coenan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Coenan wants to control but Aragus is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Aragus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coenan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aragus has managed to get both his arms back between Coenan's legs - danger averted.

Hildebrand Coenan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Aragus was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Aragus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Coenan throws a hook but Aragus avoids it easily.
Coenan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kip Aragus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coenan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aragus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Aragus dives in for a single leg takedown but Coenan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A countering left hand to the body from Coenan misses.
Coenan connects with a body shot that sends Aragus's belly button to the back.
Aragus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coenan.

Aragus takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
