Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Alighieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tristan Alighieri!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighieri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Alighieri closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Doe's guard.

Doe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alighieri loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Doe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Alighieri lands a couple of elbows.
Alighieri trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Alighieri with a nice head shot there.
Alighieri is in close to Doe's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Doe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alighieri's guard.

Alighieri tries to roll over but Doe keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Alighieri wants to sweep here but Doe controlling him for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
No luck for Alighieri with that takedown attempt.
Alighieri throws a right and a left that Doe avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tristan Alighieri will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Doe blocks the body kick.
Alighieri tries to land a front kick but Doe steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Doe catches Alighieri with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Doe jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Alighieri throws a quick inside leg kick.
Doe lands a glancing blow to the side of Alighieri's head.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Doe checks a leg kick.

Alighieri closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Doe quickly recovers to half guard.

Alighieri not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alighieri connects with a nice short shot to Doe's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doe is looking to improve his position.
Doe gets back to full guard.

Doe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Doe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alighieri is one step ahead there.

Doe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Alighieri connects with a couple of short punches.

Doe looking for a guillotine here but Alighieri defends easily.
Alighieri is looking to work some ground and pound but Doe has wrist control.

Doe has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Alighieri has passed into side control.
Doe is not content to let Alighieri control the position.

Alighieri is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doe has escaped the position, nice work there.
Doe is looking for a sweep.
Alighieri lands some shots froms side control.

Alighieri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Doe sneaks back into half guard.

Alighieri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Doe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Doe wants to improve his position but Alighieri is controlling well.
Alighieri slips a nice elbow through Doe's hands, connecting with Doe's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alighieri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Doe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alighieri.
Doe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alighieri's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alighieri's back!
Alighieri just trying to survive but Doe is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Doe lands a shot to the head.
Tristan Alighieri overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Doe wants to control but Alighieri is keeping busy.
Doe punches Alighieri on the ear.
Doe gets his hands free as Alighieri looks to control.
You can see the frustration on Alighieri's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Doe controlling the position well here. Alighieri rolled but Doe kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Doe misses with an elbow to the head.
Alighieri just trying to survive but Doe is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alighieri is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Alighieri is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Well, with Doe on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Alighieri is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Doe is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Doe gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Doe gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Doe apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Alighieri misses the shot to the body.
Doe looks to land a left hand but Alighieri moved out of range nicely.

Alighieri gets caught flat footed, as Doe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Doe connects with a couple of short punches.
Alighieri controls Doe momentarily but Doe frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but John Doe will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Doe throws a right hand that Alighieri ducks under and follows up with a left that Alighieri also avoids with ease.

Alighieri closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alighieri lands in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Doe is on top in guard.

Alighieri has control of Doe's left arm, preventing Doe from doing any damage.
Doe throws a strike but Alighieri rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Doe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alighieri manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Doe throws a big elbow that misses.
Doe scoring with punches to the head and body.
Doe trying to control but Alighieri is working from the bottom.
Alighieri has Doe pulled in close to control his posture.
Doe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Doe wants to pass the guard but Alighieri is keeping the position.

Doe stands up over Alighieri, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Doe passes Alighieri's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Doe is trying to control. Alighieri wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Alighieri has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doe is working away from the top position though.
Doe lands strikes from half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

John Doe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Doe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
