Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dj Helmsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasha Parlsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dj Helmsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sasha Parlsh! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helmsley moves into the clinch. Helmsley pulls guard effortlessly. Helmsley wants to sweep but no luck. Helmsley pulls Parlsh in close to prevent any damage. Helmsley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Helmsley is looking for a triangle but Parlsh pushes his legs off easily.
Helmsley has Parlsh pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Helmsley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parlsh's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helmsley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Parlsh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Parlsh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Parlsh! Helmsley is looking to regain half guard here but Parlsh keeps moving and retains side control. Parlsh working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Helmsley is not content to let Parlsh control the position. Helmsley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Parlsh working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Helmsley is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Parlsh lands a few punches from side control. Parlsh working away. Parlsh trying to control the position but Helmsley is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parlsh throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Helmsley works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Helmsley tries to roll over but Parlsh keeps him under control. Parlsh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are battling for position here. Helmsley manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Helmsley keeping moving, preventing Parlsh from controlling successfully. Parlsh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Helmsley fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Helmsley stuns Parlsh with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Helmsley closes the distance and clinches. Parlsh is working for takedown but Helmsley is calmly controlling the position for now. Parlsh is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Helmsley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parlsh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Helmsley gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Helmsley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parlsh, pushing him back against the cage. Parlsh is trying to force a seperation but Helmsley has the dominant position. Helmsley looking for a takedown. Helmsley jumps guard but Parlsh turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Helmsley jumps guard and drags Parlsh to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Helmsley looking for a sweep. Not yet Helmsley, not yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Helmsley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Parlsh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Helmsley trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parlsh throws a big right hand that misses. Helmsley pushes Parlsh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Parlsh throws a series of punches but Helmsley moves out of range. Helmsley shoots in but Parlsh avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dj Helmsley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Helmsley throws a nice inside leg kick. Helmsley tries to clinch up but Parlsh circles away and keeps his distance. Parlsh loads up on a big right hand but Helmsley slips the punch. Parlsh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Helmsley.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Helmsley wants to clinch up but Parlsh keeps it at a distance. Helmsley has closed the distance and engaged Parlsh in a clinch.
Parlsh tries to break free but Helmsley pushes him back against the cage. Helmsley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Parlsh fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice takedown defense from Parlsh. No joy for Helmsley on that attempt. Helmsley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Parlsh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Parlsh does no damage. Parlsh slaps away a takedown attempt from Helmsley, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Helmsley misses with a takedown attempt and Parlsh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Parlsh throws a series of punches but Helmsley avoids them all with ease. Helmsley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Parlsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Parlsh misses the shot to the body. Helmsley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Helmsley closes the distance and pushes Parlsh back into the cage. Helmsley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parlsh can do to turn this around? Helmsley is struggling to control the position.

Parlsh should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Parlsh goes for a takedown attempt but Helmsley pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Parlsh scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dj Helmsley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parlsh misses with a takedown and Helmsley counters with a thumping low kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Helmsley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parlsh as he avoids it easily. Parlsh is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. No joy there for Parlsh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dj Helmsley will probably get the nod. That's time! Helmsley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Parlsh tries to bum rush Helmsley with a series of wild strikes but Helmsley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Parlsh darts in looking for a takedown but Helmsley gets double underhooks and turns Parlsh into the cage. Helmsley wants to clinch. Helmsley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parlsh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Helmsley somewhat. It seemed like Parlsh was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parlsh lands a glancing blow to the side of Helmsley's head.

Sasha Parlsh seems to be getting the better of the standup. Helmsley wants to clinch but Parlsh slips to the side and Parlsh counters with a straight right hand. Helmsley is looking to clinch. Helmsley fails with a takedown attempt. Parlsh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Parlsh unleashes a big counter combination but Helmsley bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parlsh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Helmsley. Helmsley with a lazy takedown attempt and Parlsh counters with a two punch combo. A nice combination there by Parlsh.

Dj Helmsley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parlsh throws a right hand that Helmsley ducks under and follows up with a left that Helmsley also avoids with ease. Helmsley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parlsh paws at him with a jab and circles away. Despite the aggression on Parlsh's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Parlsh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Parlsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sasha Parlsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Helmsley moves out of range as Parlsh strikes. Helmsley seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
