Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Barbee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis wants to clinch up but Barbee keeps it at a distance.
Barbee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lewis swivels and escapes.
Lewis misses with a double jab.
Barbee shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense.

Barbee gets the takedown into side control.
Barbee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.
Lewis regains half guard there - taking advantage of Barbee's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Barbee is just content to waste time from the top position. Lewis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Lewis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Lewis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lewis get's back to his feet.
Lewis misses with a hook. Barbee ducked under it nicely.

Barbee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lewis wants to control but Barbee postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Barbee off and has taken his back!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Lewis controlling the positon.

Lewis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Barbee defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Lewis lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Barbee hold on?!
Lewis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lewis is not going to allow Barbee to sit and survive in this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lewis moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Barbee.
Barbee wants to control but Lewis postures up.

You can see the frustration on Barbee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Lewis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lewis showed some decent athleticism there.

Barbee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lewis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lewis's back!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lewis lands a head kick. Barbee smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Despite being in the dominant position, Doug Barbee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
