The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to bum rush Boogaard with a series of wild strikes but Boogaard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jackson looks to throw the jab but Boogaard is out of range.
Boogaard thinks about the counter body kick.
Jackson throws a right hand that misses
and Boogaard counters with a thumping low kick.
Jackson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Derek Boogaard has been cut.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jackson.
Jackson slips under a jab.
A clash of legs there as Jackson blocks the low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boogaard avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Boogaard misses with a hook.
Jackson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Boogaard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Boogaard has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boogaard there as he acknowledges the shot.
Boogaard avoids the head kick by Jackson.

Jackson takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Pookie Jackson has been cut.
Jackson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Boogaard backs away from a small jab... but Jackson lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Boogaard crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Jackson with a spectacular finish!
