Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roddy Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roddy Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Dunham! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks tries a head kick but it misses.
Dunham fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Banks sprawls well initially but Dunham persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Banks kicks Dunham off and gets back to his feet. Banks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks rushes Dunham and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dunham has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Banks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Banks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Banks shoots in for a takedown but Dunham shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dunham gets a takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Banks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dunham scoring with some ground and pound. Dunham throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Banks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunham is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Banks is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Banks has escaped and now he's on top!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dunham can do anything to dispel that myth. Banks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Banks is looking to work some ground and pound but Dunham has wrist control. Dunham is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banks is aware though and is defending well. Dunham had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Banks defends it easily. Dunham looking for subs off his back but Banks has passed one foot through into half guard.
Banks with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunham is looking to improve his position.
Dunham really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Banks works his way into full mount! Dunham really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Banks trying to control but Dunham is having none of it. Banks looking to isolate an arm here. Dunham doesn't see it coming and as Banks extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Banks!
