Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rickie Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mian Saukib (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rickie Hammond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mian Saukib! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammond tries to sprawl but Saukib drives through with a takedown into half guard. Saukib trying to control the action but Hammond is working from the bottom. Saukib is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammond is trying to maintain the position but Saukib is very close to passing his half guard. Saukib not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are battling for position here. Hammond manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Saukib must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hammond keeping full guard, as Saukib tries to pass. Hammond not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond pulls Saukib in close to prevent any damage. Hammond wants to improve his position but instead Saukib has moved into half guard.
Hammond looking for a kimura from the bottom but Saukib passes into side control! Saukib working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hammond gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saukib is trying to control. Hammond wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saukib thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hammond's head. Hammond controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hammond is trying to get back to full guard. Hammond throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Saukib is looking to take a break and control but Hammond is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Saukib feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saukib trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Saukib defends it easily. Saukib is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hammond is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hammond has escaped and now he's on top! Hammond scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saukib has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hammond working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Saukib's head. Hammond tries to stand but Saukib is controlling from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Saukib looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hammond has picked Saukib up and slammed him! Saukib can't keep hold of the triangle and Hammond manages to pass to side control! Saukib looks winded! Hammond landing a few strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rickie Hammond will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Saukib moves into the clinch. Hammond tries to pull guard but Saukib forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Saukib pulls guard effortlessly. Mian Saukib has got the better of the ground game so far. Saukib throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hammond won't allow Saukib to sweep him here. Hammond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Saukib is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saukib has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hammond has managed to get both his arms back between Saukib's legs - danger averted. Hammond postures up and lands a big shot to Saukib's brow. Saukib is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Saukib is breathing heavily. Hammond postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hammond landing some decent shots from guard. Hammond cracks Saukib with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammond is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hammond stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mian Saukib seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saukib scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hammond looking for submissions off his back. Hammond looking for a kimura from the bottom but Saukib passes into side control! Saukib misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Hammond is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hammond is trying to control Saukib's posture but Saukib avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond throws Saukib to one side and escapes! Saukib has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hammond tries to pull guard but Saukib holds him up against the cage and eventually Hammond drops back down to his feet.
Hammond jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saukib walks away with a smile on his face. Hammond gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickie Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hammond gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saukib to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hammond is looking for a triangle here but Saukib uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

A close second round but Mian Saukib will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Hammond's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hammond tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saukib sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hammond somewhat. Saukib drives through with a takedown into guard. Saukib would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hammond escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saukib gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammond looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Saukib rolls with it to try and escape but Hammond cranks on the arm and Saukib is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
