Diotte comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cypress Hill - I Want 2 Get High kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geissen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Geissen misses with a jab to the body

and Diotte holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Geissen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Geissen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diotte backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Geissen.
Geissen lands with a left to the head.
Geissen misses with the head strike.
Diotte is struggling to control the position.
Geissen throws a punch but it's blocked by Diotte.
Geissen misses with a short punch on the inside.
With the fighters up against the cage, Geissen throws an elbow but misses.

Geissen lands with a short shot to the head.
Geissen managing to block the knees to the body from Diotte.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Diotte blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Diotte's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Diotte takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Geissen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Diotte throws a low kick but Geissen avoids it.
Geissen takes one on the button.

It looks like Shawn Geissen has been cut.
Geissen throws a front kick aimed at Diotte's knee but Diotte avoids it well.
Diotte misses the shot to the body.

and Diotte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Diotte has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shawn Geissen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
