Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alka Mangrove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangrove lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jeez, Uriah Sambo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Sambo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mangrove is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sambo to the mat. Sambo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Mangrove must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sambo seems a little lost for a moment, as Mangrove dominates the positioning.

Mangrove has hold of Sambo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sambo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mangrove cranks the arm and Sambo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sambo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alka Mangrove!
