Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Golovkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Little Rick!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golovkin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rick to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Golovkin looking for a guillotine here but Rick defends easily.
Rick trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Golovkin controlling Rick's posture.
Golovkin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rick looking to sit in guard and control but Golovkin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Golovkin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rick can't keep his opponent in guard - Golovkin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Golovkin drops an elbow to the side of Rick's head.
Golovkin wants to take a breather but Rick is having none of it.

Rick is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Golovkin scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rick regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rick wants to sweep but no luck.
Rick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rick working for a triangle but Golovkin defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Golovkin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Rick looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Golovkin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Golovkin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rick looks winded!

Golovkin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Golovkin cracks Rick with a solid left hand.
Rick is rocked!
Golovkin arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Rick's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mikhail Golovkin!
