Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Filby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drunken Piaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jakob Filby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drunken Piaso! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filby slaps away a takedown attempt from Piaso, before circling back to the center of the mat. Filby scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Filby with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Piaso drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Filby wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Piaso manages to pass to side control. Filby blocking the ground and pound attempt from Piaso. Piaso wants to take a breather but Filby is having none of it. Piaso missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ground and pound from Piaso. Piaso is trying to control. Filby wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Piaso trying to mount his opponent but Filby defends it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Piaso working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Piaso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Filby does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piaso is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Filby has managed to free his arm - good work. Filby tries to kick Piaso off but Piaso keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Piaso trying to control from half guard but Filby is working away. Filby blocking the ground and pound attempt from Piaso. Piaso is pressing down on Filby's thigh, looking to free his foot. Filby is holding on for now. Filby on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Filby tries to get out of the position. Piaso throwing shots but Filby is blocking nicely. Piaso not landing any meaningful shots this time. Piaso is trying to control the action in half guard but Filby is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Piaso moves nicely into side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Piaso throws a wild body kick that Filby sees coming a mile off. Filby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Filby - that will leave a mark!
Filby throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Piaso. Filby attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Filby is looking to score with low kicks. Piaso fails with a takedown attempt. Piaso has a takedown stuffed. Jakob Filby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drunken Piaso. A leg kick checked by Piaso. Piaso lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Piaso keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Piaso on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Piaso is trying to force a seperation but Filby has the dominant position. Piaso pulls guard effortlessly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piaso is trying to control the position but Filby postures up. Filby wanted to stand there but Piaso had control of the position. Filby has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Piaso wants to sweep but no luck. Filby definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Filby wants to get up but he can't break Piaso's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Piaso is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Filby is controlling him. Piaso looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Piaso is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Filby working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Piaso. Filby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Piaso on the ground. Piaso trying to stand up but can't free himself from Filby's guard. Piaso trying to control the position from guard on top but Filby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Piaso wants to pass the guard but Filby is keeping the position. Filby wants to stand but Piaso is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Filby tries to land a leg kick but Piaso saw it coming and moves away.
Filby throws a body kick that misses. Piaso shoots for a double leg takedown but Filby sprawls well. He's pushed Piaso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jakob Filby dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Filby throws a head kick that Piaso semi-blocks.
Filby pushes Piaso up against the cage in a clinch. Piaso tries for a takedown. No joy.
Piaso changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Filby fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Filby fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Piaso has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Piaso shoots in but no luck this time. Jakob Filby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drunken Piaso. Filby checks a leg kick. Filby closes the distance and pushes Piaso back into the cage. Filby is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Piaso can do to turn this around? Piaso drops down looking for an ankle pick but Filby pulls his leg out and moves away.
Piaso takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piaso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Filby connects with an inside leg kick. Piaso misses with a kick to the body and Filby counters with a good, hard body kick but Piaso shrugs it off. A solid leg kick lands there for Filby.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Filby lets loose with a powerful body kick. Piaso will feel that in the morning. Piaso is breathing heavily. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Filby lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Filby drops Piaso with a big knee straight up the middle! Piaso is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Piaso is rocked! Filby fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Piaso, pushing him back against the cage. Piaso is still on wobbly legs! Can Filby finish him? Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Filby obliges. Piaso seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Filby is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Filby unloads a knee to the mid-section. Piaso lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. A knee to the head by Filby.
Filby maintains plum control as Piaso tries to back straight out! Filby connects with one knee! Two knees! Three, four, five, six...seven unasnwered knees! Piaso blocks the eight but eats the ninth - then collapses! Oh the brutality!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knees). Jakob Filby!
