Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Schopenhauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irving Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arthur Schopenhauer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Irving Brown!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown wants to clinch up but Schopenhauer keeps it at a distance.
Schopenhauer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brown enables Schopenhauer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brown manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Schopenhauer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Schopenhauer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Schopenhauer tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard.

Schopenhauer swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brown is now in Schopenhauer's guard. A big mistake from Schopenhauer there, giving up the dominant position!

Schopenhauer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schopenhauer is working away from the top position though.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schopenhauer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Schopenhauer has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
