Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Vang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Torres!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres darts in and clinches Vang up against the cage.
Torres is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vang is defending well for now.
Torres gets underhooks to prevent Vang's takedown attempt.
Vang is trying to pull guard but Torres has him pressed against the cage.
Vang jumps guard but Torres stands there with Vang around his waist. Vang gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Vang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vang is fighting off a takedown attempt but Torres is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vang to the mat. Vang regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Vang pushes Torres off and gets back to his feet.
Vang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torres tries to avoid it but Vang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torres to the ground. Torres escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vang throws a head punch that misses.
Torres lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Vang kicks Torres off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Torres shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Vang tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Torres manages to move to mount!
Vang keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Torres lands a big shot there that rocks Vang but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Torres is landing with some decent strikes but Vang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vang is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vang has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Oh Vang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Torres lands a good shot there. Vang covers up! Torres smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Vang to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Torres jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Torres!
