Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moe Syzlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Moe Syzlak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, King Kong!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syzlak walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Syzlak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syzlak paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Syzlak tries a head kick but it misses.
King Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Syzlak as Kong shoots in.
Kong doesn't manage to clinch there - Syzlak circles away.
Kong takes one to the chin there.
Kong is looking to clinch.
Syzlak swinging wilding here.
Kong wants to clinch up but Syzlak keeps it at a distance.

Kong moves into the clinch.
Syzlak stops a takedown attempt from Kong.
Kong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Syzlak avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Moe Syzlak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Kong.
Kong tries for a takedown but Syzlak manages to get underhooks.
Syzlak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kong digs a right hand into Syzlak's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Syzlak's gas tank.

Kong gets through Syzlak's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Syzlak cracks Kong with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Syzlak. No joy for Kong on that attempt.
Kong is looking to clinch but Syzlak is avoiding it.
Syzlak throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kong closes the distance and clinches.

Syzlak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kong throws the left hand but Syzlak avoids the punch easily.
Kong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Syzlak.
Syzlak throws a body kick that misses.
Syzlak keeps the fight on the outside.
Kong lands a slapping body shot.
Syzlak takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Kong drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Syzlak can't do much from the bottom here.
Syzlak is breathing heavily.

Syzlak on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Syzlak avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kong.
Syzlak seems a little lost for a moment, as Kong dominates the positioning.
Kong advances to full mount.
Kong is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Syzlak is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Syzlak tries to hold on but Kong pushes him away.
Syzlak working to try and regain half guard.
Syzlak is bucking up trying to escape but Kong cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kong breaks from Syzlak's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kong with the ground and pound from mount.
Kong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kong looking to control but Syzlak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kong scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Syzlak?

King Kong dominated that round.

Syzlak ducks under a wild hook from Kong.
Good exchange - Kong coming out on top.
Syzlak shoots in looking for a takedown. Kong tries to sprawl out of it but Syzlak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Syzlak swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Syzlak throws a right and a left that Kong avoids nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kong tries to control but Syzlak wriggling away.
Kong scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Syzlak slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kong connects with a nice short shot to Syzlak's temple.
Syzlak is doing well to control the position and prevent Kong from advancing to side control.
Kong is looking to stall here but Syzlak recovers full guard.

Kong passes into half guard.
Kong working the head and body with strikes.
Kong trying to control from half guard but Syzlak is working away.

Kong is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Syzlak has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kong stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Syzlak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kong but Kong pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kong looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Syzlak!
Syzlak is squirming around, avoiding Kong's attempts to control the action.
Syzlak wants to hold on but Kong pushes him away.

Kong postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Syzlak looks a forlorn figure.

Kong connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kong is landing with some decent strikes but Syzlak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

King Kong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Syzlak flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kong wants to control the pace but Syzlak is squirming around nicely.

Moe Syzlak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
King Kong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Syzlak is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
King Kong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
