Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tracy Macias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deair Conan! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Macias keeping moving, preventing Conan from controlling successfully. Conan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Macias looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Macias is looking to sweep but instead, Conan has passed into half guard.
It looks like Conan is going to stand back up.
Macias tries to get to full guard but Conan has control of the leg. Macias trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Macias with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Conan working the head and body with strikes. Conan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Conan tries to stand but can't do so whilst Macias controls his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conan is looking to advance position but Macias won't allow it. Conan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Macias is looking to improve his position but Conan isn't that keen on the idea. Conan controlling from the full mount. Conan landing punches. Macias bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Macias's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Conan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Conan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Macias postures up in Conan's guard and throws a big left but Conan blocks it. Conan is pulling down on Macias's head to control his posture. Conan trying to control the position.
Macias is fighting to break Conan's control of his arms but Conan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macias content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Macias distracts Conan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Macias postures up and lands a big shot to Conan's brow. Macias postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macias with a flurry of punches that miss. Macias trying to control but Conan is working from the bottom. Conan wants to get back to his feet but Macias is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Macias stands and steps away. Conan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tracy Macias is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conan takes the fight into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Conan. Conan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Macias has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Conan is pushing Macias up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Conan breaks the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. No joy there for Conan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deair Conan dominated that round. That's time! Macias's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Conan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Macias looking to hit a scissor sweep but Conan is one step ahead there. Macias is striking off his back. Conan thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Conan tries to stand and escape but Macias is controlling the position. Macias has hold of Conan's hands but Conan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conan trying to pass the guard but Macias defending well. Conan is controlling the pace.
Macias makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Macias.

Conan wants to stand but Macias has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Macias keeping moving, preventing Conan from controlling successfully. Macias has momentary wrist control but Conan slips an elbow through the middle. Conan tries to stand but Macias is controlling from the bottom. Macias is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Conan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Conan wants to get up but he can't break Macias's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Macias is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Macias scoring with strikes to the body and head. Macias winds up and cracks Conan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Conan is trying to stand back up but Macias is controlling him
Macias thows a huge punch but Conan dodges it nicely.
Conan is controlling Macias's position as best he can from this difficult position. Macias has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Macias controlling the action here. Macias takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Macias misses with a head shot. Conan uses the momentum to regain guard. Macias throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Conan managing to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Conan throws a leg kick but Macias checks it. Macias was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Conan fails in his attempt to clinch. Conan pushes Macias up against the cage in a clinch. Conan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Conan lands a couple of elbows. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Conan working some strikes from top position. Conan works a leg free and moves into half guard. Macias tries to roll over but Conan keeps him under control. Macias gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deair Conan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Macias checks a low kick from Conan. Conan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Macias checks it well. Conan has managed to clinch.
Macias has picked Conan up - he's going for a ride! Macias dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Macias scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Macias is stalling here. Conan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Macias seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Conan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Macias tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Conan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Macias manages to work his way to half guard, despite Conan's best efforts. Conan content to control rather than advance.

Conan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Macias is trying to control the position but Conan postures up. Macias wants to hit a switch here but Conan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Macias there! Conan content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conan looking to control but Macias is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Conan manages to capitalize on a mistake by Macias to take his back! Conan is hanging on to Macias's back as he tries to escape.
Conan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Macias knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Macias for a finish. Conan lands punches and elbows. Conan is trying to stick to Macias's back but Macias is turning into Conan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Conan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Macias. Conan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Macias postures up.
Macias will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Macias gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Conan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Macias wants to control from the top but Conan keeps moving. Macias stops Conan from standing up. Conan controlling the position. Macias throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Macias preventing the sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Conan can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Macias working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Conan working a defensive guard here.
Conan has control of Macias's left arm, preventing Macias from doing any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Conan has managed to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Macias has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Conan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Conan gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tracy Macias has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Deair Conan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Macias tries to roll over but Conan keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! Deair Conan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Conan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
