Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vyik Tyunduer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Tyunduer misses
and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tyunduer is looking to stand back up but Smith counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tyunduer.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Tyunduer's temple.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyunduer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
