Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Winston Ambrose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MD Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MD Tank is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Winston Ambrose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, MD Tank!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tank shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tank was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tank taking a breather here.
Ambrose is looking to regain half guard here but Tank keeps moving and retains side control.
Tank lands some shots froms side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tank controls the position.
Ambrose is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tank tries to score with some ground and pound. Ambrose controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tank wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ambrose keeps working.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ambrose takes the fight into the clinch.
Ambrose tries to land a knee to the head but Tank blocks with his arms.

Tank breaks from the clinch.
Tank shoots in but no luck this time.
Tank displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ambrose.
Tank tries to clinch but Ambrose is having none of it.

Tank shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ambrose manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ambrose scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Ambrose looks for a takedown but Tank sprawls well.

Tank feints and as Ambrose raises his hands in defense, Tank changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ambrose trying to keep a closed guard but Tank is proving a slippery customer.

Ambrose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tank doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tank manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ambrose wants to sweep here but Tank controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ambrose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ambrose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tank was well out of range. Poor timing from Ambrose.
Tank dives in for a single leg takedown but Ambrose sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ambrose shoots in and drives through. Tank sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winston Ambrose. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ambrose is trying to control the position but Tank postures up.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tank working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Ambrose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tank gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ambrose looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tank passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

MD Tank dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Tank shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ambrose manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ambrose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tank tries to avoid it but Ambrose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tank to the ground. Tank escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Winston Ambrose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tank shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ambrose as he jumps to the side.
Tank closes the distance and clinches up with Ambrose, looking for a takedown. Tank pushes Ambrose against the cage but Ambrose circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tank shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ambrose as he jumps to the side.
Ambrose feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Winston Ambrose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MD Tank.

Ambrose will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ambrose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tank can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ambrose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tank defends it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ambrose tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tank manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ambrose misses with a takedown
and Tank counters with a left to the body.

It looks like MD Tank has been cut.
Tank avoids the elbow strike from Ambrose, against the cage.

Ambrose prevents the takedown attempt.
Ambrose with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ambrose connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tank's face.
Ambrose tries a knee to the head but Tank blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Winston Ambrose will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on MD Tank's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Tank leaves Ambrose with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ambrose fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ambrose dives in and grabs Tank's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tank pushes down on Ambrose's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winston Ambrose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Ambrose. No joy for Tank on that attempt.

Ambrose tries to sprawl but Tank drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tank takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tank lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ambrose shoots for a double leg takedown but Tank sprawls well. He's pushed Ambrose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Tank works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Tank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ambrose has his foot on Tank's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tank works his way back into a safe position though.

Tank throws a strike but Ambrose rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
MD Tank has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tank manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Ambrose breaks from the clinch.
Ambrose leaves Tank with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Winston Ambrose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tank fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ambrose tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tank sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ambrose somewhat.

Ambrose is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tank tries to free his leg and advance position but Ambrose is retaining full guard.

MD Tank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tank has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
