Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asko Ilmarinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranaroldo Silvardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Asko Ilmarinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ranaroldo Silvardo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilmarinen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silvardo steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Ilmarinen misses the shot to the body.
Silvardo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Silvardo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ilmarinen is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ilmarinen looks for a takedown but Silvardo sprawls well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silvardo tries to roll over but Ilmarinen keeps him under control.

Silvardo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ilmarinen as he avoids it easily.

Ilmarinen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Silvardo to the ground. Ilmarinen is now in Silvardo's guard.

Ilmarinen dives in and grabs Silvardo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silvardo pushes down on Ilmarinen's head and hops out.

Silvardo is looking for a triangle but Ilmarinen pushes his legs off easily.
Ilmarinen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silvardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silvardo wants to sweep here but Ilmarinen controlling him for the moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Silvardo throws the kick towards the body but Ilmarinen avoids it.

Silvardo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ilmarinen tries to score with a low kick but Silvardo moves his leg out of the way.

Ilmarinen moves into range and clinches up with Silvardo.
Ilmarinen is pressed up against the cage. Silvardo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ilmarinen down to the mat. Ilmarinen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ilmarinen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silvardo but Silvardo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silvardo tries to pull guard but Ilmarinen holds him up against the cage and eventually Silvardo drops back down to his feet.
Asko Ilmarinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ranaroldo Silvardo.

Ilmarinen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ilmarinen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silvardo uses from the top position.
Ilmarinen seems keen to control Silvardo's posture.

Asko Ilmarinen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ilmarinen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Asko Ilmarinen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Ranaroldo Silvardo had this to say: 'You know he a very tough guy!'.
