Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sane has chosen Many Men by 50 Cent as his entrance music. Justin Sane is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Justin Sane! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John shoots in looking for a takedown. Sane tries to sprawl out of it but John keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A countering left hand to the body from Sane misses. John wants to clinch and Sane counters with a three punch combo that has John backing up. John nods at Sane to acknowledge the strikes. John fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sane, pushing him back against the cage. Sane connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Chris John has been cut. Sane breaks the clinch.
John tries to clinch there but Sane circles away.
John shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sane looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sane keeps the fight on the outside. John seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Nice sprawl there from Sane as John shoots in. John tries for a takedown but Sane circles away easily and Sane counters with a head kick. That will keep John thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Sane counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. John closes the distance looking to clinch and Sane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. John is looking to clinch. A nice side step and Sane releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. John closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sane to the mat! Sane manages to get full guard. Sane pushes John off and scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! John closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sane's guard. John has gone for a leg lock! Sane slips out almost immediately though and dives into John's guard. Sane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sane would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. John is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

John has his foot on Sane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sane works his way back into a safe position though. Sane is looking to stand up but John won't let him. Sane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sane has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Kombat MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. John looking for a guillotine here but Sane defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sane decides to return to a standing position. John is looking to clinch but Sane is avoiding it.
Sane was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. A big right from Sane misses. John moves to clinch but Sane breaks away and Sane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sane moves into the clinch. John drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sane pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. John has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sane manages to break the clinch.
Sane throws a nice looking combination but John bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Justin Sane seems to be getting the better of the standup. John wants to clinch and Sane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sane wants it to stay on the feet. Sane unleashes a big counter combination but John bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris John. That's going to take a lot out of him. John goes for a double leg but Sane avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sane continues to drive forward. John fails with the takedown. John shoots in looking for a takedown but Sane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing John's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Chris John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. John fails with the takedown and Sane counters with a lovely shot to the body. Sane scores with a one two! John had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. John tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Sane counter with a right hand. John closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sane did well to prevent John getting side control. Sane wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. John is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

John is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sane defends it well. John wants to free his trapped foot but Sane is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sane is defending against the submission attempts here by John.

No, Sane has managed to free his arm - good work. Sane avoiding damage under a succession of punches from John. Sane wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. John prevents Sane from improving his position. Sane manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. John keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. John goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sane prevents it.

Sane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. John shoots in but Sane avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sane swats away the attempt to clinch by John. Sane throws out a counter right but John avoids it with no problem. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. John tries to close the distance and clinch but Sane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sane is looking for the big counter here. John misses with a takedown and Sane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Sane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chris John's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
John feints and as Sane raises his hands in defense, John changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. John throws a big right hand that misses. John slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sane is looking to work his way out of this bad position but John is controlling him well. Sane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. John is chipping away with strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round. John swings around for an armbar but Sane sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into John's guard. Sane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on John, up you get! John tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten John somewhat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sane. Sane scores with a jab to the body. John fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John closes the distance looking to clinch and Sane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sane keeps the fight on the outside. Chris John is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. John tries to clinch up. Sane throws a counter combo. Sane punishes John's body with a nice straight punch. John looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sane is fending him off so far but John persists. Nope, Sane circles away and we're back to standing. Sane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris John. That's going to take a lot out of him. John fails with the takedown enabling Sane to counter with a crisp jab. John takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. This has been an exciting period of action! John darts in trying to clinch and Sane counters with a left and a right that stings John.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sane lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. John with a poor takedown and Sane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. John tries to clinch up but Sane circles away and keeps his distance. John scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. John is looking to stall here but Sane recovers full guard. John tries to free his leg and advance position but Sane is retaining full guard. Sane is looking to stand up but John isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John wants to pass the guard but Sane is keeping the position. Chris John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sane is pulling down on John's head. It's preventing any offense from John, at least for the moment. Justin Sane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. John throwing strikes but missing.
And that's the end of the fight! Justin Sane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Sane winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
