Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Custer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Rumbus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dustin Custer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Rumbus! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.

Rumbus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rumbus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Custer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Custer wants to improve his position but Rumbus is controlling well.

Custer is pressing down on Rumbus's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Custer wants to sweep here but Rumbus controlling him for the moment. Custer keeping full guard, as Rumbus tries to pass. Custer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rumbus manages to get himself to full guard.

Rumbus stops Custer from passing to mount. Rumbus tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rumbus can't do much from the bottom here. Rumbus is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Custer is putting a hurting on Rumbus here, landing some big shots from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rumbus tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rumbus looks gassed!

Custer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rumbus rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Custer's guard! Nice work there by Rumbus! Rumbus takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Rumbus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Custer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Custer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rumbus! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Custer with a couple of short strikes.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Custer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Custer seems to be looking for submissions.
Custer moves into full mount! Rumbus won't be happy about that! Custer working away from the top, dropping strikes. Custer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rumbus can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Custer punishing his opponent with strikes. Custer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Custer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rumbus?
Custer with shots to the head and body - Rumbus looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Custer trying to control but Rumbus is having none of it. Custer dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Custer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rumbus shoots in but no luck this time. Rumbus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Custer shoots and misses
and Rumbus counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rumbus prevents Custer from improving his position. Rumbus tries to pass the half guard into mount. Custer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Custer wants to control but Rumbus is keeping busy.
Rumbus controlling the action here. Custer works his way to full guard. Good work. Custer trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Rumbus drops back looking for a leg! Custer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Custer manages to kick Rumbus off! Rumbus jumps back into Custer's guard. Custer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rumbus tries to free his leg and advance position but Custer is retaining full guard. Rumbus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Custer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rumbus manages to get himself to full guard.
Custer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Custer looking to pass the guard. Custer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rumbus's head. Rumbus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Custer is one step ahead there. Rumbus keeping moving, preventing Custer from controlling successfully.

and Rumbus holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Custer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dustin Custer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Custer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rumbus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Custer has Rumbus pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Custer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rumbus tumbling to the mat - Custer dives into Rumbus's guard.
Rumbus is looking for a triangle but Custer pushes his legs off easily.
Custer tries to stand but Rumbus is controlling from the bottom. Custer tries to free his leg and advance position but Rumbus is retaining full guard. Rumbus trying to control the position.

Custer looking to sit in guard and control but Rumbus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rumbus postures up.
Custer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rumbus is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Custer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rumbus's back instead. Rumbus is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Custer off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Rumbus trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Custer is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rumbus knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rumbus for a finish. Custer somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Rumbus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Custer tries to clinch there but Rumbus circles away.
Custer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Custer is tying to control. Rumbus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rumbus is trying to get back to full guard. Rumbus is staying active underneath Custer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rumbus on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rumbus is in trouble now - Custer has advanced to mount! Dustin Custer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Custer has hold of Rumbus's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rumbus manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Custer trying to control but Rumbus is having none of it. Rumbus is looking to improve his position but Custer isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Custer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rumbus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Rumbus manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Rumbus is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Custer pulls his head out easily. Custer is tying to control. Rumbus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rumbus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Custer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rumbus tries to roll over but Custer keeps him under control. Custer wants to get back to his feet.

Custer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rumbus's guard. Custer trying to control the position from guard on top but Rumbus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rumbus tries to land a sweep but no joy. Custer advances to half guard. Rumbus won't allow Custer to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dustin Custer. I think Custer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
