With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guy Mourtneant!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harry Milne!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milne dives in and grabs Mourtneant's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mourtneant pushes down on Milne's head and hops out.
Mourtneant fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Milne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Milne swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mourtneant wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Mourtneant looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

We've been informed that Milne has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Milne tries to bum rush Mourtneant with a series of wild strikes but Mourtneant uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Milne is rocked!
Mourtneant lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Milne backwards.
Milne is still on wobbly legs! Can Mourtneant finish him?
Mourtneant stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Mourtneant drops Milne onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Milne is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Milne changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mourtneant fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mourtneant lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Milne up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Mourtneant from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Milne's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guy Mourtneant!

A relieved looking Guy Mourtneant thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Harry Milne was interviewed post fight and said 'Congratulations to Guy, he's a worthy champion but I will be back for that belt in the future.'.
