The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yarakos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fierro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Yarakos.
Yarakos looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fierro is trying to stand back up but Yarakos is controlling him

Yarakos tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fierro manages to circle out of the way.
Yarakos shoots in for a takedown but Fierro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Fierro is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Fierro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yarakos.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fierro fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fierro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Yarakos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fierro's guard.
Fierro pushes Yarakos off and scrambles back to his feet.
Yarakos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fierro throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Fierro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yarakos circles away quickly and effectively.
Fierro misses with a wild combination.
Yarakos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Inci Yarakos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yarakos doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fierro counters with a nice body shot.
Yarakos is breathing heavily.

Yarakos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fierro pinned against the cage. Fierro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fierro feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yarakos sprawling to the canvas! Yarakos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fierro finish him?!
Yarakos is rocked!
Fierro steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Yarakos is out on his feet! Fierro sets himself and nearly takes Yarakos's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Carlos Fierro!
