Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between St Pre James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, St Pre James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Carey! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Carey thows a leg kick but James checks it enabling James to counter with a crisp jab. Carey tries a head kick but it misses.
Carey feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down. Carey misses with a kick to the body and James counters with a stiff right hand. Carey lands a head kick!
It looks like St Pre James has been cut. Carey connects with an inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carey looks to throw a body kick and James counters with a nice body shot. Charles Carey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James loads up on a big right hand but Carey slips the punch. Carey feints a counter leg kick. Carey lands a nice leg kick that just misses James's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carey lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Carey shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A clash of legs there as James blocks the low kick. Carey throws a sloppy head kick and James finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as James checks a leg kick. James swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Carey looks to land a body kick but James moved away. A little feinted left hand from James on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. James decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Carey is not content to let James control the position. James seems to be looking for submissions.
Carey tries to kick James off but James keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. James seems to be working for a kimura but Carey defends the submission attempt. James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. James is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carey has managed to free his arm - good work. Carey is trying to stand up here but James is controlling him well. James seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Carey is trying to control but can't.

James not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of James's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take James's back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
You can see the frustration on James's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Carey avoiding James 's attempts to control his hands. James breaks Carey's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Carey cracks the inside of James's front leg. Carey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Carey scores with a kick to the midsection. A head kick from Carey lands but James takes it in his stride. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it. James changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Carey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carey wants it to stay on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Charles Carey will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on St Pre James's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Good leg kick by Carey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carey swivels and escapes. Carey moves out of range as James strikes. An inside leg kick from Carey misses. Carey connects with a right hand. James shakes it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Carey looks to land a body kick but James moved away. It looked like James wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Carey scores with a kick to the body.
Carey lands a brutal head kick. James looks out on his feet and Carey throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Charles Carey! Charles Carey was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
